Let Happy Holidays Mean Happy Holidays.

It's getting cold outside, a sure sign the holidays are upon us. For most, this means hectic schedule, interrupted training programs, lack of time, and increased holiday gatherings with food everywhere! Reality is, it's difficult to commit to a new training program this time of year, but it's on most people’s mind, if it wasn't January and February would not be the influx of new gym memberships. Let the numbers speak for themselves. It's sad however, that by mid spring many of those people have fallen by the way side, given up on their goals, and lost motivation for one reason or another....its life, it happens.
 
Twisted Trek Athletics will NOT be hosting a New Year's special, no "Beat the Fat" deals, or "Lose weight and keep it off through the holidays." Instead our focus is to support you through this joyous time, eliminate stress but give you tools to stay mindful, focused and goal oriented without set you up on a time consuming program during the most stressful time of year to stay healthy.
 
From now until New Year's focused challenges will be offered. Each challenge varies in time frame and focus. Some will have a nutrition focus and some will have an exercise focus. THIS IS NOT A PROMISE TO LOSE WEIGHT, GET SKINNY, or to NEVER CRAVE COOKIES AGAIN! This is simply to remind you that throughout the day you can make mindful choices to help you maintain or be successful through the holidays. There will be a bit of preplanning involved but not much. Let's say the week of Thanksgiving you typically have 3 gatherings to attend. This always weighs on you remind as it's been a big struggle in the past to not end the night feeling frumpy and over indulgent. Join one of the fitness challenges that week so you can feel a bit more accomplished and a few extra calories won't be the end of the world.
 
All challenges are pre-registered with a start and end date, once registered we'll discuss a communication line to keep in touch, so it's important you stay connected to participate whether it is via email, phone, text or social media. I will be doing all the challenges along with the groups to help me stay mindful and focued as well. Let's get after it!!!!​
